Adventure in Adaptive Snow Sports

Rotary Adventure in Adaptive Snow Sports is a four-day program that introduces youth with physical disabilities to the thrills of skiing and snowboarding.

On North Vancouver’s Grouse Mountain, participants utilize adaptive equipment and special teaching techniques to maximize their independence on snow.

This program is made available through a special partnership between the Rotary Club of North Vancouver and Vancouver Adaptive Snow Sports (VASS) and aims to motivate young individuals with physical disabilities to build their confidence and independence through outdoor recreation.

“I've never done anything that has given me such freedom!!!! I love the snow, the speed, the feeling of confidence and most of all the chance to do something that I never knew I could do - and be really good at. The program is phenomenal, the volunteers are excellent; it has changed my life!”

- Brynna Corcoran, on VASS
